Do you ever feel like you cross one thing off your “to-do” list and three new things takes its place? I think everyone can relate to this. One thing that has been on my list for quite some time is to create a Home Emergency Bag. I created one a while ago, but it has somehow made its way to the back of my garage and I think everything in it is least five years old (whoops!).  So this is going to be my priority to take care of this coming weekend, and I wanted to share with you the checklist I will be following.

It’s important that we all have an emergency bag, and that it is updated at least annually. In case there is an emergency, you may not have time to run around the house to gather what you may need, nor will you be able to truly concentrate on what you do need versus what is unnecessary.

Take the time to create an emergency bag, or if you have one already, to review what is in there.  Make sure it’s in a convenient location in your home. We should all do what we can for our families and to decrease our chances of being a victim in case disaster strikes.  Good luck!
